Rutais an international trade and regulatory compliance attorney with 15+ years of in-house and law firm experience advising companies on strategic trade compliance planning and risk mitigation in complex cross-border transactions. In her practice, she focuses on customs and import, export control (ITAR and EAR), OFAC sanctions, federal contracting, anti-corruption, antiboycott, general compliance, and supply chain matters including conflict minerals, anti-slavery compliance (UFLPA), and security (CTPAT).
Prior to founding One Lex, she was a Senior Trade Compliance Counsel with Lyft, Inc. where she led the trade compliance efforts and counseled on all aspects of global trade compliance strategy. Previously, she worked as Director of Trade Compliance of Defense Electronics division of Teledyne Technologies, Inc., and managed global trade compliance efforts for E & J Gallo Winery, the largest wine importer and exporter globally. She started her career with Global Trade Expertise, an international trade law firm.
Ruta holds a J.D. and LL.M in International Business and Trade Law from University in Illinois in Chicago, and a B.S. in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago. She lives in New York City.
Ruta is licensed by the Supreme Court of Illinois. She practices in New York in accordance with requirements of 22 NYCRR Part 523.5.
Ruta is fluent in Lithuanian and has a working knowledge of Russian.
Tammie G. Krauskopf
We partner with attorneys and consultants of Tammie Goldstein Krauskopf LLC. Tammie has over 30 years of experience helping companies develop strategies to minimize duties and taxes, avoid penalties and build strong compliance programs. She represents large and small companies across a range of industries including consumer products, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food production.
Prior to forming her own firm, Tammie spent nine years in private practice as counsel at Bryan Cave LLP and special counsel at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. She spent eight years as an attorney with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, both in the Office of the Chief Counsel and in the Office of Regulations and Rulings. Tammie was also a senior manager at Deloitte where she developed the international trade practice for the Chicago office. As an adjunct professor at The John Marshall Law School, Tammie taught customs and international trade law courses for 20 years.
Tammie received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh Law School and her Masters in Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, summa cum laude. She received her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
Tammie is licensed by the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Michael Iagrossi
Michael is the CEO of Sterling Accelerator and leads One Lex’ enterprise growth work. As a go-to-market (GTM) strategist, he works closely with senior leadership teams to identify new vectors for growth, re-set the strategic direction, and realign the operating model to deliver. He has served a range of One Lex clients on commercial topics, including product strategy, customer acquisition, and supply chain revenue growth.
Over 15+ years of executive management experience, he has previously led numerous high growth efforts, including most recently as CEO of Blue Bear Protection, where he built a global supply chain platform to transform engagement and revenue opportunities for trading partners. He has worked extensively in North America and also served clients in Europe, Middle East and Asia.
Michael holds a MBA from Adelphi University, and has BS in Management from the Smeal School of Business at The Pennsylvania State University, where he was also a 4 year letterman and NCAA Football National Champion.
